I had two very bad experiences at Oregon Regenerative Medicine, though the last time was much worse and has caused significant damage to my neck. Dr Peterson didn’t listen to the complaints I had in two areas of my cervical spine and instead injected my entire neck without telling me, which created an enormous amount of instability in my upper cervical ligaments. This has made me lose years of progress in treating my upper cervical instability and has made me have to live with debilitating symptoms I had been in remission from. When I brought this up to the clinic discounted my concerns and didn’t seem to care or try to fix the problem. They kept saying this was a “normal” reaction to prolotherapy even though I have had dozens of prolotherapy treatments and I know this is very abnormal. I’m now left to spend much more money to try to correct the problem with a doctor who treats those upper cervical ligaments in Denver.
Edit: The majority of the claims you are making about my experience are completely untrue. I did not cancel the previous appointments due to instability and never mentioned going to the emergency room. The only time I asked if some instability warranted being looked at quickly was on a phone call to Dr Peterson a couple of weeks before. I was never told that you would be treating my entire neck nor was I shown what you would be doing on an anatomical model. I did not consent to my entire neck being treated, only to the 3 areas I talked to Dr Peterson about. It was only after the procedure that I thought I might need to be evaluated in an emergency room. It is absolutely possible for prolotherapy to cause instability in other areas if there are weakened ligaments nearby and the practitioner is not able to treat them concurrently due to his method of administration, which was the case here. Also while your associate doctor seems like a compassionate person she and Dr Peterson seem ill-equipped to deal with the complexities of the cervical region of the spine. I’ve been dealing with multiple new issues since I had this treatment that have unfortunately not gone away. And the only reason my mother called was because I simply couldn’t move my neck or head at the time, though I do think filing for malpractice makes sense given that Dr Peterson did not adhere to the treatment plan we agreed to ahead of time.

I injured my lower leg badly nearly a month ago, with unbelievable swelling and I could hardly walk. Dr. Floras performed a nerve hydro-dissection on my leg last week and within half an hour, the pain was reduced. By the following day, I could walk with greater ease. I had another hydro-dissection this week with Dr. Guggino and I'm feeling so encouraged because nearly all the pain is gone. I honestly thought I was going to have to have surgery. I don't even know what a hydro-dissection is!! These doctors are amazing.

I'm happy I finally did stem cells on my ankle. I've been dealing with chronic pain following an injury that I had in my 20's. I'm now 44 and have osteoarthritis and I was not about to go the surgery route. My friend went to this clinic for stem cells in her knee and is doing amazing that it seemed like an alternative. I'm just so happy it is working for me as well.
