J. Tashof Bernton, MD, one of the founding partners of CROM, is a 1979 graduate of the University of Colorado School of Medicine. with subsequent internship and residency training in both internal medicine and occupational medicine. He received his board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Preventative Medicine in Occupational Medicine. He is also certified by the American College of Thermography.
The primary focus of Dr. Bernton’s practice is the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries including back, neck, and myofascial pain. His practice includes prescription of therapies including PRP, as well as medications, physical therapy and prescription of spinal injections. Dr. Bernton also performs peripheral joint and trigger point injections. He has extensive experience in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. Dr. Bernton has chaired the Colorado Medical Society Workers Compensation Committee and has Level II full accreditation from the Colorado Division of Worker’s Compensation. He performs Autonomic Testing Battery and Stress Thermography diagnostic assessments for diagnosis of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. Dr. Bernton is the 2020-2021 national president of the American Academy of Thermology, the national organization of physicians performing diagnostic thermographic testing.
